The whole community is anticipating the spring boys baseball season coming up, as they are one of the best baseball programs in the state. The team is coming into the season motivated after a loss to portage northern in the regional finals. With a plethora of returning varsity players, the team looks to make another run to East Lansing like they have done the last 2 out of 3 years. Michigan State commit pitcher and right-fielder Ryan Szczepaniak says, “I’m feeling really good about this upcoming season, ‘I’m ready to make another run and hopefully bring a state championship to Woodhaven, it’s the last dance baby!” Zachary Phillips also commented, “We’re ready to work, we’re going to do whatever it takes to come out on top.” Center fielder Austin Alter also said, “Really excited for the upcoming season, can’t wait to show what we can do. I think we’re ready to bring home a state championship, it’s do or die.” All athletes look to help lead the team and are taking every opportunity to get better and better every day.
