This team will go down in history, according to Coach Scheffler, who says, “We were the 1st Woodhaven team to go undefeated in the Downriver League.”
This hard-working team included seven seniors and four juniors. These boys have been thriving throughout the season, each game becoming easier and easier for them up until the district finals.
According to one of the team’s top scorers Freddy Rogers, “Our biggest game was against Bedford because it was back and forth and a very competitive game overall.” The Warriors rose to the challenge in this most challenging game, coming back with a dub of 49-44 and a district trophy in their hands.
Many of these players plan to continue their basketball careers

after this incredible season of success. Kevin Gillenwater, “I plan on playing college basketball at Ferris State University because I love the consistency and grind it takes to do great things on the court.”
The Woodhaven family is thrilled to see what bright future awaits these outstanding athletes and how far their basketball journey will take them.
