Are you a senior who is confused about what the rest of the year withholds? As we encounter the rest of this year there are a lot of important dates in which you should be sure you are aware of. Finishing out the year we want to make sure you get involved with all of the opportunities you can. Down below you will see all the most important dates finishing out your senior year!
All-Night Party: Tickets sold for $20 each. See Mrs. Janice in room D202 if you are paying with cash. Or Venmo to @whs-classof2024 or click here. You must fill out the Google form emailed out by Mrs. Janice along with the waiver if you would like to ride the mechanical bull.
Senior Sunset/ Movie Night: May 17th starting about 7:30 pm after the girls’ soccer game is finished. Movie voting has started final voting ends May 10th at 2 pm. Admission is free! Come join us on the football ball field to close out the senior year with good memories!
Senior Walk: Takes place May 21st starting at the high school at 9 am then going over to PHMS at about 9:30. Then continuing the walk over at BMS at about 10 am, which then concludes the walk at the student’s former elementary school in which they can visit at their choice. Parents can come and join the walk if they would like to meet to take pictures at a particular school.
Senior Finals: These take place starting Tuesday, May 28 in the 5th and 6th hours with a full day. Wednesday, May 29 finals are in the 3rd and 4th hour with early dismissal at 12:23. Thursday, May 30 finals take place in the 1st and 2nd hour with early dismissal at 9:46.
Prom: May 30th at the Roostertail in Detroit. Doors open at 6:30, dinner being served at 7:00 then open till 11 pm. Tickets are $85 and sold during all three lunches. If you would like to apply for Prom court applications are due Friday, May 18th to Mrs. Williams in room D210. To apply you must have a GPA of 2.75 or higher, can’t have 5 or more suspensions, and need 3 teacher or coach signatures. Any guest passes are due to the main office by May 17th to be able to get approved.
Graduation: June 10th the BBQ takes place from 11 am to about noon out by the football field. Once you eat pick up your ticket which is used to take attendance. If you are not at the rehearsal you are not able to walk that night for graduation. Bring the outfit and shoes you are wearing to make sure you are comfortable in them. Your outfit would be appropriate and go along with the color gown in which you are wearing. Shoes must be proper no flip flops or tennis shoes as it is formal wear. Rehearsal will start at about noon and go until about 1:00. The actual Graduation will take place that night at 6:30. Females will be on the home side of the football bleachers and males will be towards the away bleachers.
