The CW announced that Supergirl will end after the sixth season comes out. For as long as we have known Supergirl, she has only had one weakness- kryptonite. She was unstoppable. It turns out that kryptonite isn’t her only weakness. This brave, kindhearted person has many children that look up to her.

Lots of kids have dressed up as one of their favorite superheroes, Supergirl, on halloween. They have all been filled with sadness. After Supergirl star Melissa Benoist had her son, Huxley Wood, it was decided that the show would be ending. When the next season comes out, many will be faced with disappointment as they finish that last episode. They will be wanting to see what will happen next but unlike all the other times, it will not have more.

The cast of Supergirl are sad that it will be ending but they are happy they got to be on that journey. Many of them have shown how glad they are for getting to be on Supergirl on their Instagrams. Melissa wrote, “To say it has been an honor portraying this iconic character would be a massive understatement. Seeing the incredible impact the show has had on young girls around the world has always left me humbled and speechless.” Chyler Leigh said, “Six seasons is a rare gift in this business. It’s even more rare to absolutely adore and admire and enjoy the people you work with, let alone spend upwards towards 16 hours a day together.”
