Over the past two years, egg prices have been on the rise. For some people who eat eggs every day for breakfast, this is a nightmare. Eggs are a good source of protein and should be kept that way. Now that the two holiday seasons are approaching, the prices are rising. Even though egg prices have been increasing so much, people tend to buy other egg brands too. Though the egg prices might be cheaper than others in certain areas as in cities, it does not take away from the fact that everything will start rising more eventually. Prices have risen for eggs about 30.4 percent in October.
Holidays are usually a time when most families have traditions and make desserts for their families each year. As the holiday traditions approach, nothing has changed when it comes to regular Thanksgiving-making dishes, but eggs are on the rise and will mostly be rising even more by the end of the year. This time of year with baking and cooking, most recipes call for extra eggs to be added to the dish.
Avian flu has been common now too. This flu comes from wild birds and has killed 108 million birds since 2022. Since 75 million eggs were produced ever since January 2022 the supply has impacted 8 percent of the world with eggs. Last month many countries such as Utah and Washington have suffered from Avian flu which has been coming back now.
For 2025, the egg supply is doomed. Half of the supply of eggs will be down, and more than half will do anything to get eggs. The egg prices have gone up about 54 percent and almost two whole dollars. Organic eggs are also an option for people, but they actually are almost the same prices as regular eggs. It is more common to buy organic eggs over the holidays than any else. Since many other products also have eggs containing in them, potentially other products involving eggs will go up too.
