United Healthcare CEO, Brian Thompson, was walking down a New York street when he was gunned down from behind by Luigi Mangione. Mangione was walking behind Thompson when suddenly he turned to face Thompson and revealed a handgun with a silencer attached to it, fired three rounds into his back then ran off.
Mangione was later arrested yesterday at a McDonald’s restaurant in Altoona, Pennsylvania due to an employee reporting him. After his arrest, “Police said he had a gun similar to the one used in the shooting, a silencer, and a fake ID,” according to NBC News.
During his interrogation after his arrest by the Police, they asked him if he had been to New York recently, and he began to shake and become quieter and quieter. It was also found that he had handwritten notes that said, “These parasites had it coming.” He also told the investigators that he did everything alone and had no accomplices.
Luigi Mangione had fled the state after he murdered Thompson. This is what led to his arrest at McDonald’s down in Altoona, Pennsylvania. It was reported by Police that he had avoided law enforcement for several days before his arrest in Altoona. His exact whereabouts during the morning of the shooting of Thompson and the time he was arrested remains a mystery by investigators.
Thompson was reportedly on his way to UnitedHealth Group’s investor conference when he was gunned down outside of the New York Hilton Midtown Hotel by Luigi Mangione last Wednesday.
