What is Woodhaven High School students’ music taste? To find out, we asked several students what their favorite artist is, how many artists they have listened to in 2024, how many songs they have listened to, how many total albums they have listened to in 2024, and if they listened to music on Spotify or Apple Music.
Out of all the students we asked, most of them had different opinions on their music taste. However, there were also several students who had similar tastes in music. The most popular music genres that most students had in common were Pop, Rap, and Rock. These genres do not surprise me for being the most popular among the students, because nowadays most people only listen to those genres and don’t go out to explore new music.
The students had all different artists in their top five, but there was also a trend and that was mostly their favorite artists were rap artists, pop artists, and even country artists.
All of the students we asked, had a lot of total artists they listened to in all of 2024, ranging from five, 110, 689, and even all the way up to 2,983.
A lot of the students we asked had listened to way more songs than they did artists. Most students had listened to 200- 2,000 songs and one student even listened to over 27,000 songs.
From asking the students about their Apple Music/Spotify replays, there were some trends about favorite artists and genres and then there were also some students who had music tastes that no other student had.
