December 19th kicks off the Yeti Ski Club’s season at Mt. Holly. Any students from 6th to 9th grade are invited to join the ski club and work on their skiing and snowboarding skills.
Even if you are not experienced in skiing, there are lessons that will assist you in learning. It is also a good opportunity to spend time with your friends and learn new things. The bus ride to Mt. Holly is about an hour to an hour and a half long and there are concessions to purchase food or drinks when you get there.
Every trip costs $60 for the bus trip and the ski lift. Students are also required to pay $30 more for lessons on the first trip of the season, and $5 for a patch if it is their first time skiing with the club. Mt. Holly offers ski/snowboard rentals for $30 and helmets rentals for $15. During the trip, students are recommended to bring money since there are lockers, food, and drinks available to purchase there.
The bus that transports students to and from the hill leaves and arrives back at Brownstown Middle School. The first trip, the bus leaves at 9:00 a.m and arrives back at 4:00 p.m. The second through sixth trips, it leaves at 2:30 p.m and arrives back at 10:00 p.m. The dates are as follows:
