I was introduced to The Smoke Doctor restaurant by my dad. He said it is one of his favorite restaurants to go to. When he said that, I was excited to go because my dad and I usually have the same taste in food. The restaurant was small, but the food made up for it. It is also a little ways away in Pinckney, Michigan, which is about an hour away. But yet again, the food is well worth the drive. I got something called a Brisket Sunday; which has mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, brisket, nacho cheese, barbeque sauce, salsa, and sour cream. However, I got mine without salsa and sour cream. It cost $9.99 before adding a drink to my order; with the drink, it was $11.62. Everything tasted amazing. I loved it. The brisket was cooked perfectly and it just fell apart in your mouth. I also found out that their barbeque sauce is homemade and not shipped to the restaurant. Some of the other things that they had on their menu were a prime rib sandwich, pulled pork mac and cheese, brisket mac and cheese, nachos with different types of meat, fried chicken, and chicken sandwiches. The most expensive thing on the menu was the prime rib sandwich which was $12.65, and the least expensive thing was pulled pork mac and cheese which was $8.99. With the low prices of the food and it tastes amazing, the only thing I worried about was the amount of gas I was using. In the end, when I got home I used half a tank of gas, but I thought it was well worth the drive.
