Q: How did it feel to return to the court for the first tie in a while?
A: “It felt good, a little nervous at first but once as soon as I got in all the nerves went away. I definitely had a little lack of confidence with a lot of shooting. I should’ve shot more because I didn’t shoot a lot.
Q: What are you looking forward to the most this season?
A: “Winning, not losing. My team lost two games without me and now that I’m back I strive to make us undefeated.”
Q: How do you feel about this being your senior season?
A: “Crazy, time went by super fast. Like I remember just being a freshman, red hair, red dreads, half and half. Now I’m really graduating.”
Q: Who is your biggest supporter when it comes to your sports?
A: “My momma for sure.”
Q: Who is your biggest inspiration in the sports world?
A: “Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry.”
Q: What made you choose basketball over other sports?
A: “Nothing particular, I really just fell in love with it. I was a football player first, I started football at five and I didn’t stop playing until my 11th-grade year. I just started liking basketball more, that all there was to it forreal.”
Q: How did you prepare yourself to be in game mode yesterday?
A: “I got food, went home, took a nap, and just went straight there.”
Q: Do you have any pre-game traditions or anything specific you do before games to get into the right headspace before you play?
A: “Just make sure I eat, to be honest.”
Q: How does your team feel about you being back?
A: “Super happy, super excited.”
Q: How did it feel to have the whole student section yelling your name when you got put in?
A: “It was cool, it was all fun in the beginning, and then it gets to a point. Like what we got going on, I’m a bucket-getter. The stuff I scored y’all see me score all day, why y’all acting like its new?”
