Winter break is a time to take a break from school to relax and enjoy yourself. That being said, let’s look at a couple of activities one could do over the two-week winter break. From enjoying time at home to taking a ski trip up to Pine Knob, this article will cover multiple things in between.
For people who love staying at home, there are some movies that would be perfect to watch over break. There have been many new releases on Netflix, including “Hot Frosty,” “Meet Me Next Christmas,” and “Merry Christmas.” For people who are not really into Christmas movies, the NFL season will be wrapping up, with battles in both the AFC and NFC for the #1 seed going into the playoffs.
Continuing, for people who like to get out of their houses a little more, on Saturday the 21st and multiple days following, Cirque du Soleil will be taking action in the Fox Theatre. This is an event where figure skating and acrobatics combine to present an exhilarating time. This could be an amazing time for you and your family or friends, as it is in downtown Detroit, home of amazing culture and restaurants.
Finally, if you are more of an adventure type, the snowboarding and skiing season is opening up. Pine Knob is known for its amazing courses, along with its friendly atmosphere! For those who know how to ski or snowboard, they can fly down the slopes and for those who don’t, they have a bunch of trainers and facilities to get you trained in no time.
