About a month ago, a teen boy’s mother and the Taylor Police Department developed an altercation. The mother did not want to turn over her child to the Child Protective Services in which she was ordered to do so. The boy was then reported missing after the mom did not work with the Child Protective Services which the internet blew up on.
The mother of the boy was not cooperating with Child Protective Services after the court was ordered to remove him from her custody. It was then that the Taylor Police Department were asked to step in which they then posted on social media about the boy being missing and asking for help locating him. The post was then shared over 2,000 times within two hours. The number of shares, comments, and help received gave major hope for finding the boy.
With hundreds of comments, there were a few direct messages that were the most helpful. The teen ended up being a few houses away with people who were just trying to keep him safe. Although the boy was being held where he felt safe, once the police department was alerted on where he was, it became their top priority to obtain him. With the family realizing the extremity of the situation and how they were assisting in interfering with a court order, they became more cooperative.
The PD said they never expected him to be in any harm, or that the family meant any harm. Since being taken into police custody, the boy has been released to a family member of his and is living peacefully again after all the chaos of this situation.
