On Mar. 27, 2025, 19-year-old Aerion Warmsley was arrested and accused of murdering a former state senator’s son at the Aliante Casino in Las Vegas. Warmsley’s arrest resulted from authorities identifying him through DNA evidence and surveillance video. The surveillance footage showed that Warmsley was accompanied by another man after leaving the casino. Police have yet to identify the man who accompanied Warmsley as he took off on foot when Warmsley crashed into another vehicle.
The victim from Warmlsey’s accused murder is Na’onche Osborne, 23, son of former Nevada State Senator Pat Spearman. Currently, Spearman has not said anything following her son’s murder.
After firing shots, Warmsley immediately left. The police arrived and began a car chase looking for Warmsley. The teenager led a car chase that would involve crashing into other drivers and a bus stop. During the chase, Warmsley carjacked at least three drivers before crashing into a bus stop and injuring two others. Police estimated that Warmsley drove 105 mph on a highway, which caused Las Vegas’ Boulder Highway to close for several hours.
Warmsley was arrested and held on the same day of the event. He was arraigned last Tuesday on 28 counts of murder, battery, robbery, burglary, kidnapping, child abuse, neglect, reckless driving, failure to stop at the scene of a crash, and discharging a firearm inside a building. Currently, Warmsley is being held at the North Las Vegas Detention Center, with a hearing on May 5.
