With the fourth game of the Pistons vs Knicks set concluded, there are people distressed with the outcome of the games so far. Fans are upset because they believe that the Pistons should be wiping the Knicks with ease, with valid reason. The Pistons had been doing so well that fans thought it would be easy for them. Throughout the season, the Pistons have been a force to be reckoned with when playing against them on the court. They were physical, active, and organised. But when the playoff pressure hit, it seemed like some of their tenacity faded away. There are still games for them to play, so all hope isn’t lost for the Pistons yet.
The Pistons need to go back to the drawing board, cool off, and prepare themselves for the upcoming games. The Knicks have shown that they are there to win it all and have no intention of letting up. The Pistons, of course, know this, so they have to go at them with everything with the intent to shut their run down. If they do everything they can to break open the Knicks’ defense and get their offensive weapons moving, they will prevail. So far, Cade Cunningham has been working his butt off to get this Pistons team going. After game five, the Pistons have moved up to a one-game difference with their big win. After their losses, seeing that there is no sign of them giving up is great. If they keep moving the way they have been, they will be able to make it through the first round in the playoffs.
So far, the Pistons’ losses have been very close games. The games they have lost have been by at most an 11-point difference. The last couple of games have been one-score differences. The Pistons have shown throughout the entire season that they have what it takes to make it all the way. If they keep up their momentum, they can take the series in a 1-3 comeback with a huge upset. If the Pistons end up taking the series from the Knicks, they will end up playing the Boston Celtics in the second round. The Celtics are another very strong team that could prove challenging for the Pistons. They run with a strong offensive game and a tough defensive game that would make scoring for the Pistons rough. Though if they find a way to break open the Knicks’ defensive wall, they can also find a way to penetrate the Celtics’ defense and advance on through the playoffs and challenge the Western Conference for the NBA championship and win the trophy for Detroit.
Obviously, it won’t be easy for them because there are still a lot of strong teams they have to face to get there, but if they do, it will be an incredible show for the city they represent. All in all, the city is wishing them luck in their playoff run and wants to see their success.
