Many people wonder what it would be like to travel outside the country and visit places in many different parts of the world. Many people also don’t know what they want to do during spring break. Well, at Woodhaven High School, students are given the opportunity to travel to places around the world during spring break.
In the 2025-2026 school year, students can go on a trip to Italy and Greece during spring break. From March 25th to April 3rd, students will be able to visit all the ancient history that resides in Greece and Italy. Students who attend the trip will be able to see places in Rome like the Colleseum, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain while also getting to explore places in Delphi, Greece. You get the opportunity to try the amazing foods from Italy and Greece while also getting to experience the culture of the countries and learning the rich history these countries hold.
If you happened to miss the informational meeting for the Italy and Greece Trip, here are some things they covered. The cost to attend the trip is 11 monthly payments of $409, coming to a total of $4,499. You can get a $200 early enrollment discount if you apply soon after the informational meeting. In order to be eligible for the trip, students must have a good academic standing and no serious behavioral infractions, like suspensions. The teacher leading the trip will be Mrs.Williams, who led the last trip to Greece and Italy. The trip is run through EF tours, and they will provide a tour guide and what to expect on the trip.
I was someone who got the opportunity to go on the trip during the 2024 Spring break, and it was an amazing experience. It created many memories that I’ll look back on and cherish. When you arrive in Italy, you will be mesmerized by the landscape and the environment. Rome was an amazing place to visit, from the views of the Coliseum and the large fountains and statues that are in the city, there is also great food.
The Vatican was also an amazing place to visit to see the many statues and monuments that filled the building, and the rich history of Rome was an amazing experience. Also, we went to Pompeii, the city that was turned to ash after a volcanic eruption. The place was amazing to see and experience learning how the people lived in Pompeii, and the way their culture idolized certain things, it was quite the learning experience.
Another thing I enjoyed about the trip was the bus rides, being able to drive through the scenery of Italy and Greece was amazing, seeing the mountain ranges in Greece and the amazing sites in Rome was great to see. Also, being able to connect with other students on the trip and make friends with people on the trip was a great experience. Overall, the trip was an amazing experience, and I recommend that if you have the opportunity to go, you should take full advantage of it.
