With the Warriors’ most recent win over Edsel Ford, they crowned themselves Downriver League Champions. The Warriors weren’t a top favorite to win the league, but they accomplished this feat during this season. They finished league play with a 13-3 record, losing to Wyandotte once, Allen Park once, and Southgate Once. Again, no one knew how good this team was gonna be, but they for sure proved it with the style of baseball they have been playing. This special team consists of eight seniors who light up the dugout with energy and pick each other up, and are surrounded by a lot of underclassmen who give them extra energy in the dugout. Overall, this team is filled with brothers who love being around each other and would play their hearts out for each other, which led to this league title, which doesn’t come so often.
