Woodhaven High School, every year, has a Decision Day for students to celebrate their commitment. This day is very special because senior year is about finding out who they are and focusing on not just their fun events, but also their fun this year. Friday, May 2nd, was the 2025 decision day, and this event is for Juniors and Seniors. Juniors are just there to celebrate the Seniors on their big accomplishments that they have done. There are many fun activities during this event, such as dodgeball and the chair game, which are played throughout many events throughout the school year. Juniors and seniors love dodgeball ball; it is a preferred game for most students. This year’s decision day, the seniors lost dodgeball, and at the end of the assembly, they also had a rematch and sadly still lost. The Juniors make a good team when it comes to activities.
Overall, Decision Day is a great event that WHS hosts every year for their seniors. Student shoutouts are recognized by first-generation students, full-ride scholarships, military, etc. Fun prizes are earned as well for the people who participate in these school activities. Many people bought a raffle ticket for prizes to be won, such as gift cards and baskets, and many more. Decision day was one for the books, and these students have made commitments on which colleges or trade schools, or even what they will do for their future.
