American novelist J.G. Holland once said, “Responsibility walks hand in hand with capacity and power.” As possessors of great ability, it is the duty of our nation to stand against those who prove dangerous, especially those who harm our people. We will not stand by idly as threats are spoken, rules are ignored, and Americans are being poisoned; we will stand on our word and enjoy the fruits of our labor in the process.
Operation Absolute Resolve was carried out on January 3rd, 2026, aimed at removing the drug trafficking, communist dictator of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro. The strike was precise, and Maduro was snatched from his compound and transported to U.S. territory within hours, where he is being put on trial for his crimes. With Maduro relinquishing leadership, the Venezuelan people have never been happier. Maduro and those before him for decades have maintained control of Venezuela with force, using it for ill intentions; over recent years, this abuse has only grown more substantial.
Maduro’s capture, however, was simply the first coordinated step to a much greater plan. With Venezuela currently under American control for the time being, numerous implications are to be made. Venezuela’s land holds more oil than any other country in the world. Under Maduro’s reign, this oil was pumped poorly and sold greedily to communist enemies; the economy of Venezuela has never been worse for this reason. Millions of people were forced out of the country due to its condition; America will fix these problems as we once did. In the early 1900s, Venezuela faced economic hardship as their leader defaulted on bonds owed to Great Britain; we assisted it for decades after to bring it to their feet. It was the U.S. intervention that allowed Venezuela to pump its oil deposits by creating the necessary infrastructure. Once again, the U.S. will rebuild the oil industry in Venezuela, improving the lives of Americans and Venezuelans.
Oil is only the second reason for the operations carried out in Venezuela; the primary reason revolves around its neighboring countries. For years, Venezuela has been a conduit for Colombians, a harbor for drugs being transported into the United States. Since the creation of fentanyl (the drug being fabricated in Colombia along with cocaine), no drug has killed more people every year. It is dangerous, addictive, and extremely strong; for this reason, it is easily made, transported, and sold to Americans as even other substances they might believe they are buying. According to data from the National Institute of Drug Abuse, it is evident that Colombia’s drug trafficking has had a substantial impact on the American people.

This biological warfare against our country will not be tolerated any longer; allies of this poisoning will be persecuted as we finally begin to restore American lives. Venezuela was one of these poisons under its previous leadership, allowing Colombia to transport millions of doses of cocaine filled with fentanyl to keep customers coming back. With our current control over Venezuela, we intend to put a stop to these drugs and not just from within their country; we will uproot operations in Colombia and destroy these production factories if Colombia won’t do it themselves. Americans must be cleansed from the tyranny and disorderly behaviors of our distant neighbors, and we shall be healthy again.
Ultimately, this removal operation of Nicolás Maduro was not an overstep of power, but a calculated, professional mission aimed at making the lives of Americans great again. This operation will improve everyday lives. Americans shouldn’t have to pay four to five dollars per gallon of gas, and kids shouldn’t have to see homeless people keeled over in the streets like zombies. Law enforcement should not fear searching someone because they may be pricked by a needle that will put them in the hospital. Our people deserve better, and they will get it. We will see the day when our people thrive again if we can continue to accept our responsibility as a superpower, our responsibility to first ensure the prosperity of Americans and secondly, make the world a better place. We are entering a period of growth; our demonstrations are not over. America will only grow to be a better place to live, a stronger country to stand with, and a decision maker on the global stage, even more than now. It is then that we will be whole again.
