As we enter into the spooky fall season, we open up a door for new spices and flavors to come soaring through the door. With there being a battle between what coffee shops have the best tasting fall drinks, I’ve decided to send out a poll to see what the students of Woodhaven High School and the staff think about a few of the most popular coffee spots around, and what’s their favorite fall flavors to add in their coffee.
Based on the answers from the students and staff the most popular coffee spot around is Starbucks which won by the most votes having 42.9% of people out of 70 responses. Starbucks has a variety of different fall flavors ranging from pecan oat milk to pumpkin spice which is one of the reasons why people want to buy from their company, even though different coffee shops might have some of the same flavors. Their flavors just aren’t as potent and enriched with sweetness, student Harper Banks says “Their drinks are sweeter than other places and I really enjoy sweeter drinks.”Also staff member Katherine Silcox says “I appreciate Starbucks overall consistency with the taste of drinks.”.
The runner up for popular coffee shops, you find located at home in your house, 20% of the 70 responses voted that they make their coffee straight from home. Making coffee from home has many benefits yet it doesn’t have the environment of a real coffee shop, but making your coffee at home will save you money and give you joy, while your making your favorite seasonal drink at home for this fall season staff member Jodie Rennie said “I can make a fantastic cup very inexpensively. I love warm treats and like when I can reward myself without breaking the bank”. Student Kierstyn Brock says “Because I can make the coffee exactly how I want without having to pay a ton of money”. The factor of how expensive certain coffee shops are seems to be the reason why many people decide to just make their coffee at home.
However, what if there was a middle between both expensiveness and taste of fall coffee drinks. Dunkin Donuts is that middle ground, not only are their prices lower but they also have some of the same fall seasonal flavors, Dunkin took the third popular vote by 14.3% out of the 70 responses. The Woodhaven High School college advisor said that “Dunkin is cheaper, faster, and I don’t feel pressured to tip. Also, the menu is easier to read.” So not only are the drinks cheaper, but the service is also faster. Finally the menu is easier to read straight through.
Last but not least I’m sure you’ve all been waiting for what’s the most popular flavor, out of 70 responses, 47% voted that they like pumpkin spice the best. With that I hope you all have a spookalicious fall season and stay warm with your splendid cup of coffee!.
