After Woodhaven’s victory against Wyandotte, the Warriors have officially claimed the Downriver league title. Playoffs begin February 25th, and there’s a great chance that we come out with a victory and extend the season.
Woodhaven High School has had an incredible year for athletics, and as the basketball playoffs approach, it will only get better. Currently, Woodhaven holds a 15-6 record overall, standing first in the league with a record of 15-1.
As a Division I team, out-of-league games are no walk in the park; it is likely our opponent for the playoffs will be a great team. It will not be easy, however, looking at the scores of previous games, despite losing against five out-of-league teams, the scores were consistently close. With the extra motivation from the playoffs, there is a great chance we will get to see our Warriors play another game this season. It is important as students that we attempt to attend as many games as possible and show out for our Warriors if we wish to continue winning.
