Imagine This: A village is being burned, pillaged, and annihilated by raiders. The atmosphere is filled with ash and the screams of the village folk. All seems lost, until a wave of water washes over the area. Suddenly the literal tide of battle switches, as a party of heroes starts combating the raiders. The villagers are led out of the fighting zone by a druid as a fireball bursts from a crowd of raiders. The day is finally saved, but this is only a fraction of the story. A story in which you can decide what happens. This is the experience of many inside the Dungeons and Dragons club, and that’s really only the beginning. Lets see what the rest of this fantastical club has to offer!
For those who do not know what Dungeons and Dragons is, it is a tabletop roleplay strategy game. You create a character sheet, which displays your character’s tools, abilities, class, and statistics, and go on an adventure with usually four other people. These adventures take place in sessions, or times that D&D takes place, and are overseen by the dungeon master who manages the game. For D&D club, these sessions take place on every wednesday or thursday, depending on which group you join. The sessions last from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, but there is always room for rescheduling. Any reschedulings, absentees, or cancellations will be announced on the D&D google classroom.
The club is organized and partially run by the college counselor Ms. Zaria Williams, also known as Ms. Z. Any extra information about the club, scheduling conflicts, and rules can be learned from her. While she does run two of the campaigns, one on wednesday and one on thursday, the rest are run by other students. There are three campaigns for each day, all of which can contain around 5 players. The campaigns for D&D club last for 1 school year. Currently the campaigns of 2025 and 2026 are near finishing, but registrations will be available next year. Planning can still be made with Ms. Z to register for the D&D club for the 2026-2027 school year. She will assist in crafting a character sheet, along with putting new members into a party of their choice after they have been set up.
If Dungeons and Dragons club sounds interesting to you, consider joining the fun! They would love to have a new addition to their party.
