Woodhaven High School has had a lot of new and exciting upgrades in the school buildings along with new staff members, including a new social studies teacher, Mr. Seasock.

Seasock has lots of experience in teaching; has taught many subjects, Algebra l, Personal Finance, American History, Algebra ll, Economics, and Government.”

Seasock has a lot of knowledge to bring to the table and has started his first year in September of 2023.

As Seasock’s favorite subject to teach is Government,  he hopes one of his students will run for office one day.

He also has many other goals for his students to strive for success in school and outside of school with short and long-term goals.

“My short-term goal for my students is to expand their knowledge of economics and government. My long-term goal for my students is to grow their excitement & passion for economics and government” said Seasock.

Seasock originally wanted to be an engineer but then found a passion for teaching after coaching cross country at Allen Park Middle School.

He has lived in Downriver for many years and is happy to become a Warrior. “I wanted to be a part of Woodhaven because of the atmosphere and the academic successes,” he said.

Outside of school, Seasock enjoys working out, running, and reading, as well as hanging out with his fiancee who is a lawyer.

Seasock does not have any kids, but he is looking to expand his family by getting a dog.
