Students Against Destructive Decisions held a Friendship Week from February 9th through the 11th. This event was to show that having friends and bonds with people can help you stay out of bad situations. On Monday and Tuesday, S.A.D.D students sat out at all three lunches and passed out free candy grams to people so they could fill them out and send them to their friends. Woodhaven High School students were limited to two grams per person. These grams were passed out to the people they were written for on Thursday the twelfth, and then there was also the option on the 11th and 12th to participate in a photobooth.
The photo booth will be running during every lunch, and all students were welcome to join in on the fun. “Friendship is another word for love,” stated one member of Students Against Destructive Decisions.

Upcoming events in March for Students Against Destructive Decisions will include Maureen and Sam Howell, who will be coming in during students’ lunches and talking about their experience in distracted driving and telling how it impacted and changed their lives forever.
On March 6th, there will be a Driving Simulator with Jaida Young in the PBLZ alongside S.A.D.D’s safety carnival. On March 9th, there will be a drunk goggles/field sobriety test with Officer Joe Mathews during lunch in the glassed-in area. To end March off, Students Against Destructive Decisions sponsor Mrs. Frost invited the Fentanyl Fathers to come in and talk about how drug use has affected their families. This will be held during 5th and 6th hour on March 26th. Stay on the lookout for more upcoming events for S.A.D.D on the informational TVs around school.
